How It Works

  1. Ticket Selection and Activation

    Employees select the Deutschlandticket within the NAVIT App. The app shows their allocated budget and calculates the reduced cost, including any employer subsidies.

  2. Payment Summary

    Before completing the purchase, employees view a summary that includes:

    • The full price of the Deutschlandticket.

    • Discounts applied by their employer.

    • The remaining amount (if any) to be paid.

  3. Salary Conversion

    If the employer fully or partially subsidizes the ticket, the remaining cost is managed via salary conversion. This means the company handles the payment, and the relevant amount is reflected in the employee's payslip.

  4. Ticket Access

    After purchase, the ticket is provided as a QR code directly within the NAVIT App. Employees can use this QR code for travel and save it to their mobile wallet for quick access.

  5. Tracking and Sustainability Metrics

    The app’s “Verlauf” (history) section allows employees to track their ticket usage, payments, and budget. They also receive insights into their CO₂ savings, showcasing their contribution to environmental sustainability.
