Supported Payment Options for employees:

As a payment option for the new NAVIT Split-Pay function, you can currently add the following payment methods to buy your personal Deutschlandticket job ticket: debit or credit card as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

So that you can make sure that your card is suitable, here is a brief overview of the usual card types:

Recognizable by logos such as Visa or Mastercard. Has a long card number (usually 16 digits), an expiration date (e.g. “12/25”) and a verification number "CVC" (three digits, usually on the back).

Recognizable by a “Girocard” or “EC” logo. Does not have a 16-digit card number, but usually has the IBAN on the front, the account number, the card number (usually 10 digits) and/or the bank code If you have already added your Girocard to Apple Pay, you can easily pay by selecting “Apple Pay” and paying with your card.

Note: Some cards are both debit and Girocards. You can recognize these by the fact that both logos, e.g. “Visa Debit” and “Girocard”, are visible on the card. Such cards can be used normally because they function like debit cards. Our NAVIT mobility cards are also debit cards. So if you still have credit on your NAVIT mobility card, you can easily use it to pay for your Germany ticket via Split-Pay. This only applies to the mobility card and not to the Tanken & Laden card.
